Weekly Stills :: Newness

Oh, hello world!
It's been a whirlwind few weeks.
Boxes! Moving! Racing to catch ferries!
Getting lost & getting oriented.
Lots of firsts.
And don't worry, I kept up the tradition of getting sick the day we move. Morning of - sore throat reared its head and I am still recovering from that nasty bug...a few weeks later. Okay, body, I hear you loud and clear. You need some TLC and a bit less stress. Okay, a lot less.
But here's a few glimpses of the excitement the past few weeks:

{A celebration flatbread & Sangria with Morgan!}

{This, my friends, is a key to our new home!!}

{Moving Day -- so thankful for the helping hands!}

{My interior decorating skills, you can hire me anytime.}

And then, dear Dimples had his last ride.
This car was my first - a gift from my dad. I remember the day he drove it to La Foret as I was finishing up a week as a camp counselor and I drove away in it. Dimples gave me freedom, transportation to jobs and meetings and friends and late nights in Palmer Lake and long trips from Colorado to Seattle and back again. We made it through a golf-ball sized hail storm (hence, Dimples) and I always felt safe in my tank. Never a ticket, never an accident. We made a good team.
Did anyone else ever feel this attached to their first car?!
I loved this car and everything it meant, but it was time.

And meet the new addition - at the moment, nameless.
It's zippy and roomy and a huge blessing.
P.S. I cannot recommend Enterprise Car Sales more - they were excellent and so helpful as I was a LOT overwhelmed with the process.
P.P.S. I really don't recommend on the day you receive keys to your new home that you then go car shopping. It adds a bit of manic panic to your overall stressed out soul.

{We were all feeling a bit under the weather}

{A beautiful sunny spring day inspired us to use the grill and the sweet gifts from Kurt & Lisa!}

Nick made scones -- and mine was fox shaped!! :) He's a keeper.

Still processing everything.
Still amazed at how we got here (with a lot of help and prayer and trust).
Trying not to be overwhelmed, just grateful and excited. But its all mixed together.

Linking up with The Beetle Shack!

    1. Thank you! We were at the hardware store and they asked if we wanted a pattern - of course!! :) And who knew it would be so handy to distinguish from all the other keys I haul around. Thank you for stopping by!

  2. I am impressed! It's bad enough to move, but to have to car shop the same day...WOW, that would do us in! God bless you both.
