A Much Needed Portland Adventure

The stars aligned, a wedding happened and Nick and I had an absolutely needed mini-vacation in the lovely city of Portland. Words won't do justice to how this weekend revived my soul from recent stresses.
And seriously, Portland is great.

{First we had the pleasure of meeting Kingston - what a cutie!
...and we think his parents are pretty great too!}

{Wandering around Pearl District...this fun place caught out attention}

{Not just fun...incredibly delicious. Must go back!}

{And then there was this. This yummy crazy drink in a conch shell.}
{P.S. It is called the Rum Giggle. Therefore, giggling is appropriate.}

{This sign made me laugh...And slightly terrified to ride a bike in Portland...}

{Friday night stop #2...where we paid $17 for guacamole. Oops. But, WOW, the guacamole was just WOW. I would go broke if I lived in Portland. Every paycheck would be spent on guacamole. And these delicious drinks. Mine was bubbly and sparkly and crisp and Nick ordered the habanero martini... H.O.T. and delicious. Perfect for him, I'll stick to sparkly and bubbly}

{Saturday consisted of a crowded continental breakfast...
lunch at The Matador...
swinging in a stumbled-upon park...
and I bought a classic book at a garage sale.
But of course...the main event that day was watching Jeeni and Chris say 'I Do'!}
{Selfie with the zoom on...whoops}

{First dance Jeeni & Chris style...too adorable}

{Love this gorgeous woman! SO happy for her and her brand new hubby}

{Sunday we had to stop for Tillamook ice cream...Nick enjoyed strawberry cheesecake and Marionberry pie, I stuck with my favorite: creamy cookie dough. The place was a madhouse. But worth the free samples of Tillamook yumminess and these ice cream cones.}

{And despite our 8+ hour trip home...it was well worth the detour to Tillamook and Hwy 101}
